Small Group Can Reach People for #Jesus #TheBLOODStillWorks #Christians

18 Sep

“Some men arrived carrying a paraplegic on a stretcher. They were looking for a way to get into the house and set him before Jesus. When they couldn’t find a way in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof, removed some tiles, and let him down in the middle of everyone, right in front of Jesus. Impressed by their bold belief, he said, ‘Friend, I forgive your sins.’”(Luke 5:18-20, Msg)

Do you remember the story of the paralytic in Luke 5 – where four men broke through the roof of a synagogue to lower their friend to Jesus? Sometimes it takes something that radical to lead someone to Jesus!

And sometimes it just takes the caring, consistent love of a small group of Christians. How can the small groups in your church become the effective evangelism tools that God wants them to become?

Your church’s small groups must care about people who don’t know Jesus
The reason God used the four friends in Luke 5 is because they cared for the paralytic. Just like those four, the evangelistic mission of your small groups need to start with love. The number one reason Christians don’t share Christ with others is that they are too preoccupied with themselves.

Before you can care about others, you must become aware of them. Once a small group becomes aware of those who don’t have a relationship with Christ, they should start praying for them.

Your church’s small groups should pray for three things:

  • an opportunity to share your faith in a non-threatening way
  • for God to soften their hearts
  • for God to soften the hearts of those in the small group

Your church’s small groups must believe God can reach the person
No one is hopeless. When the four friends looked at the paralytic’s condition, they could have responded in doubt: What could Jesus do? Instead, they believed God could heal him – they had faith. The Bible said the paralytic’s sins were forgiven when Jesus saw the faith of the four friends.

There are people paralyzed in our world who aren’t necessarily physically paralyzed but who have a paralyzed faith. Whether they’re paralyzed by doubts, loneliness, fear or anything else, the result is the same – they need the faith of others.

In a sense, they don’t have enough faith to believe, so the faith of your small groups is going to have to bring them to Jesus.

“It’s Not A Tragedy It’s A Transition”

  Archbishop Designate +Leonard Gibbs Jr.

(Mark 5:41 KJV)

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

– The Lord is transitioning you from one state style or form to another

– It is movement from where you are to where you are going

– Most transitions look like tragedies

– In order for somebody else to be you have to become

– The Lord has you in this process of killing your flesh until our spirit says yes

– Your yes needs to be solid

– There are some people who are too anointed to be broken or drowned

– Your enemies recognize your God before you do

– Before God can give you a new miracle he has to fix old mess

– Sometimes God allows you to go through so God can show how much power you  have

The Church Universal - God Is Love

3 things god is going to deliver us from

  1. FROM THE CROWD

    1. stop frustrating yourself over a season and people you are getting ready to leave
    2. if you expect elevation watch your association
  2. FROM THE CRITICS

    – in this season you are not discovering who you are, you are recovering who you are

  3. FROM THE CIRCUMSTANCES

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it

– The Rock is the revelation of the coming king

– The Lord building and rebuilding to establish a make fire-proof

– The Church made hell move to a gated community

“The Year Of The Second Touch”

 (Mark 8:22-25 KJV)

And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

The Church - Prophecy
– The Lord is taking us through the process of elimination of clutter, distractions, and hindrances
– God is not moving you, but moving people so you can see Him clearly
– So many people try to control the way we hear and what we do
– When ever you go out to soon, you birth the vision prematurely, and end up on life support
– Jesus touched the man, however after the touch comes the test
– God wants us not o focus on the trees but see what the garden has to offer
– Where ever there are trees there are snakes
– Why are you talking to something you have dominion over?
– People are focused on the trees, because every body wants to be famous instead of faithful
– God is keeping you in hiding to manifest an authentic move of God in His timing through you
– Money is just a tree processed
– God is also giving you a chance to plant a new tree
– Sow into your man or woman of God and he or she will manifest a word in the form of a tree that will feed you
– He gives seed to the sower
– Walk in character, honesty, righteousness, integrity, salvation, and temperance
– The Lord is fixing your vision
– The Lord is removing your cataracts and qualifying you for your transitional lenses
– The Lord did not promise to build your ministry but His Church
– Your schedule should be so full of purpose that sin can’t get an appointment

The Church Reliability

So many others have tried their hand at putting together a story of the wonderful harvest of Scripture and history that took place among us, using reports handed down by the original eyewitnesses who served this Word with their very lives. Since I have investigated all the reports in close detail, starting from the story’s beginning, I decided to write it all out for you, most honorable Theophilus, so you can know beyond the shadow of a doubt the reliability of what you were taught.

Watch The Wicked Lose It!

WAITING ON GOD – DAY 12 – ++Joshua Paul

Psalm 37:34 (MSG) 34  Wait passionately for GOD, don’t leave the path. He’ll give you your place in the sun while you watch the wicked lose it.

Psalm 37:23-34 (KJV) 23  The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. 25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. 27  Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. 28  For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 29  The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. 30  The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31  The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 32  The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33  The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. 34  Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Church-Waiting-On-God-Psalm-37-34

PROMISED LAND MINISTRIES – “THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH UNITED”

If we desire to find a man whom we long to meet, we inquire where the places and the ways are where he is to be found. When Waiting on God, we need to be very careful that we keep His ways; out of these we never can expect to find Him. “Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness; those that remember Thee in Thy ways.”We may be sure that God is never and nowhere to be found but in His ways. And that there, by the soul who seeks and patiently waits, He is always most surely to be found. “Wait on the Lord, and keep His ways, and He shall exalt thee.”

How close the connection between the two parts of the injunction, “Wait on the Lord,”—that has to do with worship and disposition; “and keep His ways,”—that deals with walk and work. The outer life must be in harmony with the inner; the inner must be the inspiration and the strength for the outer. It is our God who has made known His ways in His Word for our conduct, and invites our confidence for His grace and help in our heart. If we do not keep His ways, our waiting on Him can bring no blessing. The surrender to full obedience to all His will is the secret of full access to all the blessings of His fellowship.

Notice how strongly this comes out in the psalm. It speaks of the evildoer who prospereth in his way, and calls on the believer not to fret himself. When we see men around us prosperous and happy while they forsake God’s ways, and ourselves left in difficulty or suffering, we are in danger of first fretting at what appears so strange, and then gradually yielding to seek our prosperity in their path. The psalm says, “Fret not thyself; trust in the Lord, and do good. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Depart from evil, and do good; the Lord forsaketh not His saints. The righteous shall inherit the land. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.” “And then follows—the word occurs for the third time in the psalm—”Wait on the Lord, and keep His way.” Do what God asks you to do; God will do more than you can ask Him to do.

And let no one give way to the fear: I cannot keep His way; it is this robs one of every confidence. It is true you have not the strength yet to keep all His ways. But keep carefully those for which you have received strength already. Surrender yourself willingly and trustingly to keep all God’s ways, in the strength which will come in waiting on Him. Give up your whole being to God without reserve and without doubt; He will prove Himself God to you, and work in you that which is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ. Keep His ways, as you know them in the Word. Keep His ways, as nature teaches them, in always doing what appears right. Keep His ways, as Providence points them out. Keep His ways, as the Holy Spirit suggests. Do not think of Waiting on God while you say you are not willing to work in His path. However weak you feel, only be willing, and He who has worked to will, will work to do by His power.

Psalm 37:23-34 (MSG) 23  Stalwart walks in step with GOD; his path blazed by GOD, he’s happy. 24  If he stumbles, he’s not down for long; GOD has a grip on his hand. 25  I once was young, now I’m a graybeard— not once have I seen an abandoned believer, or his kids out roaming the streets. 26  Every day he’s out giving and lending, his children making him proud. 27  Turn your back on evil, work for the good and don’t quit. 28  GOD loves this kind of thing, never turns away from his friends. Live this way and you’ve got it made, but bad eggs will be tossed out. 29  The good get planted on good land and put down healthy roots. 30  Righteous chews on wisdom like a dog on a bone, rolls virtue around on his tongue. 31  His heart pumps God’s Word like blood through his veins; his feet are as sure as a cat’s. 32  Wicked sets a watch for Righteous, he’s out for the kill. 33  GOD, alert, is also on watch— Wicked won’t hurt a hair of his head. 34  Wait passionately for GOD, don’t leave the path. He’ll give you your place in the sun while you watch the wicked lose it.

“GOD INVESTORS WILL SOON OWN THE STORE”

Psalm 37:6-9 (MSG) 6  He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day and stamp you with approval at high noon. 7  Quiet down before GOD, be prayerful before him. Don’t bother with those who climb the ladder, who elbow their way to the top. 8  Bridle your anger, trash your wrath, cool your pipes—it only makes things worse. 9  Before long the crooks will be bankrupt; GOD-investors will soon own the store.

Waiting-On-God-God-Investors

Psalm 37:1-9 (KJV) 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6  And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7  Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Waiting-On-God-Rejection

“In patience possess your souls.” “Ye have need of patience.” “Let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire.” Such words of the Holy Spirit show us what an important element in the Christian life and character patience is. And nowhere is there a better place for cultivating or displaying it than in Waiting on God. There we discover how impatient we are, and what our impatience means. We confess at times that we are impatient with men, and circumstances that hinder us, or with ourselves and our slow progress in the Christian life. If we truly set ourselves to wait upon God, we shall find that it is with Him we are impatient, because He does not at once, or as soon as we could wish, do our bidding. It is in waiting upon God that our eyes are opened to believe in His wise and sovereign will, and to see that the sooner and the more completely we yield absolutely to it, the more surely His blessing can come to us.
Waiting on God.

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” Yes, for him. Seek not only the help, the gift, thou needest seek: himself; wait for him. Give God His glory by resting in Him, by trusting him fully, by waiting patiently for Him. This patience honors Him greatly; it leaves Him, as God on the throne, to do His work; it yields self wholly into His hands. It lets God be God. If thy waiting be for some special request, wait patiently. If thy waiting be more the exercise of the spiritual life seeking to know and have more of God, wait patiently. Whether it be in the shorter specific periods of waiting, or as the continuous habit of the souls. Rest in the Lord, be still before the Lord, and wait patiently. “They that wait on the Lord shall inherit the land.”

“My soul, wait thou only upon God!”

Psalm 33:12 (KJV) 12  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

 Promised-Land-Ministries-Joshua-Paul-Metropolitan

Psalm 33:18-19 (KJV)
18  Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy;
19  To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in
famine.

Psalm 33:12-22 (MSG) 12  Blessed is the country with GOD for God; blessed are the people he’s put in his will. 13  From high in the skies GOD looks around, he sees all Adam’s brood. 14  From where he sits he overlooks all us earth-dwellers. 15  He has shaped each person in turn; now he watches everything we do. 16  No king succeeds with a big army alone, no warrior wins by brute strength. 17  Horsepower is not the answer; no one gets by on muscle alone. 18  Watch this: God’s eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. 19  He’s ready to come to their rescue in bad times; in lean times he keeps body and soul together. 20  We’re depending on GOD; he’s everything we need. 21  What’s more, our hearts brim with joy since we’ve taken for our own his holy name. 22  Love us, GOD, with all you’ve got— that’s what we’re depending on.

waiting on god

“The eye of the Lord is on them that fear Him, on them that hope in His mercy.” Fear and hope are generally thought to be in conflict with each other, in the presence and worship of God they are found side by side in perfect and beautiful harmony. And this because in God Himself all apparent contradictions are reconciled. Righteousness and peace, judgment and mercy, holiness and love, infinite power and infinite gentleness, a majesty that is exalted above all heaven, and a condescension that bows very low, meet and kiss each other. There is indeed a fear that hath torment, that is cast out entirely by perfect love. But there is a fear that is found in the very heavens. In the song of Moses and the Lamb they sing, “Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name?” And out of the very throne the voice came, “Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him.” Let us in our waiting ever seek “to fear the glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD.” The deeper we w bow before His holiness in holy fear and adoring awe, in deep reverence and humble self-abasement, even as the angels veil their faces before the throne, the more will His holiness rest upon us, and the soul be filled to have God reveal Himself; the deeper we enter into the truth “that no flesh glory in His presence,” will it be given us to see His glory. “The eye of the Lord is on them that fear Him.”
